Micro Journal Rev.2.1: cyberDeck

by Un Kyu Lee · Hard · manifest draft — being verified

A Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W writerdeck with a wide 7.84-inch display, custom 68-key mechanical keyboard, dual rotary controls and a printable typewriter-inspired enclosure.

Un Kyu Lee developed Rev.2.1 as the tenth Micro Journal iteration, refining a distraction-free writing computer around sweeping, automotive-inspired curves and recessed typewriter-style knobs. The published build guide covers the bill of materials, keyboard wiring, printable enclosure files and assembly video, while the four-cell power system addresses instability Lee encountered in an earlier battery design.

Notes

Official build guide, story, printable-file folder and CC BY-NC 4.0 license checked at commit 22cab8850746ab3686ae5b5b0b148984b97e092c on 2026-10-28. Kept as draft because the creator does not identify the powered USB hub's brand or chipset, points the generic USB pigtail entry to a Micro USB listing, and links an M2 screw listing whose title conflicts with the stated 5mm length. Battery cells are also absent from the published BOM.
