Harpy Handheld Pixelsorter

by Vaghabund / Pixelsort Contributors · Hard · manifest draft — being verified

A Raspberry Pi 5 handheld image workstation that captures or imports photos, applies real-time pixel-sorting effects and exports the results to USB storage.

Vaghabund and the Pixelsort contributors designed Harpy as a dedicated tactile appliance for glitch art rather than a general-purpose computer. Its Rust interface combines live Camera Module 3 capture, touch controls, non-destructive sessions and removable-drive export on a compact Pi 5 and seven-inch display stack.

Notes

Official README, source tree, deployment files and MIT license checked at commit fb7cc2b1d7468f969c5201581fb20cd9ddab0fcb on 2026-10-27. Kept as draft because the repository calls for a 3D-printed enclosure and optional UPS HAT but publishes no enclosure files or exact UPS model, the camera lens variant is unstated, and the software is still marked under active development.
