ESP32-S3 RLCD cYbErDeCk

by Kyle Smith · Medium · manifest draft — being verified

A low-power ESP32-S3 clamshell with a 4.2-inch reflective LCD, Rii Bluetooth keyboard and a print-ready enclosure.

Kyle Smith’s cYbErDeCk targets long runtime and outdoor readability rather than desktop-class compute. The design combines Waveshare’s reflective color LCD board with one 18650 cell, a removable keyboard and a compact printed shell offered with either a screwed back plate or an optional magnetic cover.

Notes

README, assembly guide, OpenSCAD source tree and MIT license checked at source commit abc5f675cbdc449ef4595d3de9505d04c1f81f67 on 2026-10-27. Kept draft because the creator explicitly says the design is in development, has not yet been physically built, and the keyboard function-key matrix remains untested.
