Nikolaos Samaras designed Costumdeck as a repairable alternative to a conventional laptop for coding and electronics work away from a desk. The Raspberry Pi 5 runs the Linux workstation while an ESP32-S3 supports embedded development, with the touchscreen, auxiliary controls, USB expansion and portable battery integrated into a custom three-dimensional case.

Notes

Official README, creator-authored CSV BOM, CAD files and wiring diagram checked at commit a2611bc65c30ae2698e1b99239db890c89e1a04f on 2026-10-28. Kept as draft because the repository provides no license for the printable case, many linked parts are generic or under-specified, two creator-linked sellers are not on BuildDeck's allowlist, and the power bank's Raspberry Pi 5 output is unconfirmed. The current repository tree also differs from the README's older BOM.xlsx and 3D_case_design.step paths.
