Chonky Palmtop

by a8ksh4 · Advanced · manifest draft — being verified

A Raspberry Pi 4 palmtop with a 7-inch touchscreen and a folding Corne keyboard that nests beneath the display. Two large pouch cells and an Amp Ripper power board make it a genuinely portable Linux workstation.

Creator a8ksh4 designed the Chonky Palmtop around components that happened to align in size, then developed a curved slider mechanism to rotate the split keyboard into place. The repository documents the power, USB wiring and chassis design and publishes the printable enclosure set.

Notes

Official README, materials list and STL directory checked on 2026-10-26. Kept as draft because several fastener quantities and specifications are omitted, keyboard diode/controller/key counts are inferred from a standard Corne, the display controller and low-voltage cutoff are not identified, and the printed-file license declaration is incomplete.
